One Day Seminar Jointly with Wise Pro Sdn Bhd

The Penang Electrical Merchants' Association (PEMA), with the support of Wise Pro Sdn Bhd, organised a one day seminar covering lightning protection systems for buildings based on MS IEC 62305 Parts 1–4, the design of capacitor banks for buildings and factories based on MS IEC 60831 Parts 1 & 2, automatic transfer switching equipment (ATS) based on MS IEC 60947-6-1, and microprocessor based generator and ATS controllers. The seminar was held at the Eastin Hotel, Penang on 16th July 2026. The organising chairman was PEMA Technical Committee Chairman, Ir. Ong Beng Siong.

Wise Pro Sdn Bhd was incorporated in 1996 to distribute GE products, and took over the operations of another company, Corsa Electrical & Hardware Sdn Bhd, in mid 2003. The aim of the directors and shareholders in setting up this trading company was drawn from their own experience in recognising high quality products that require expertise to enhance their market positioning. The acceptance of these higher end products in the market has proven the company's effort and track record. The speakers were Mr. SF Ng and Mr. Ritesh Lutchman.

The response to the seminar was encouraging, with about 49 participants taking part. The seminar carried 10 CIDB CCD points and 6 BEM CPD hours, and the course was also HRDF claimable.
