PEMA 78th Anniversary Dinner Celebration cum Education Fund Awards 2026

The Penang Electrical Merchants' Association (PEMA) celebrated its 78th Anniversary Dinner Celebration cum Education Fund Awards 2026 at Elite House Chinese Restaurant on 8th August 2026. More than 500 members and guests, including PEMA trustees and advisors, attended the function.

The dinner started with a welcome address by Mr. Kelvin Loo Poi Ming, PEMA Anniversary Chairman, followed by PEMA President Mr. Neoh Boon Tong. In his opening address, Mr. Neoh thanked all members, organisations and individuals whose support had made the Anniversary cum Education Fund Awards 2026 possible. Over the years, the Association has attached great importance to the development of education, and similar events are held every year to encourage and recognise the children of PEMA members and their full-time employees who study hard and achieve superior results.

The evening also marked the PEMA Education Fund Awards 2026, which began with an address by Mr. Khaw Tatt Siew, PEMA Education Fund Committee Chairman. The PEMA Academic Excellence Awards were presented to the children of PEMA members and their employees who achieved outstanding results in the SPM and STPM examinations. A total of 13 recipients received awards, amounting to RM4,500.00.

The celebration included singing, a cake cutting ceremony, the presentation of certificates and souvenirs, and a lucky draw. The dinner was rounded off with entertainment from the Karaoke team, who performed a selection of well loved songs that turned the evening into a joyful and memorable night for all. It was indeed a very successful dinner and an enjoyable night.
